Valuating Technology Companies - even if Buffett shuns it?

The link is here

Warren Buffett shuns technology companies, because he believes "they are beyond his circle of competence". That is great wisdom because "knowing what we know and don't know", believe it or not, is a trait that not many people can claim.

Interesting take.

The stance is essentially, tech stocks are more volatile, but is still a controllable beast. Some things of course I do not agree with like how SUN is hurt by Linux. Sun is a mess because of the direction it chose. MS is going down to Linux. Its just a matter of time ;) Oh, and if Linux fails, there is FreeBSD waiting in the wings. Ever tried PCBSD? Did i mention it is very window-esque? Oh and if all fails? Thats the beauty of FREE code (and most open source), it always returns ;) Unleash the phoenix.
